This is not man bashing blog, so sorry to disappoint...nor is this for dating website...this is just me in the dating world.  I am forty, single Mom, and not even looking to date given my past history.  But I just felt the need to share my experiences with the men I have met so far in my past and the current ones.  Names shall be changed to protect the not so innocent...


I have just started a successful career as a women's health nurse practitioner.  I moved across the country from Alabama (where I went to graduate school...no dating there!) and now live in Washington State.  I have a son who is quite active in sports and school.  And he is the real reason that if and when I do meet someone I am interested in...he is still the priority.  Quality, NOT quantity....


So, I have now lived here for almost three months.  I have been asked out by two different men.  


"Jeremy" is "self-employed".  Football coach, too.  Oh boy!  Nothing against coaches, but let's just say, he would have fit in great in Alabama where Football is a religion.  He is loud, self-centered, and has a temper.  And this I got all in about 15 minutes of talking to him.  He is good looking and fit, got to give him props there.  But being that he probably works out more than he probably works, he really doesn't have an excuse.  Any way, before I even committed to going to his house to let the boys swim...I did my all time favorite FREE background check....PUBLIC RECORDS!!  Props to my bro-in-law for teaching me this...


I think it is a sign when something happens on your birthday...the bank foreclosed on Jeremy's house this year on my birthday....THAT was a sign for me to RUN!!!!  Nice enough guy, but I really don't need ANOTHER mouth to support and feed.  I know all of us are affected by the currently economic situation, but I am not going to enter a relationship with drama already in place.  Plus I don't think I could fit in his truck along with his ego...He and his ex-wife were also sued in the past for failure to pay and with a court order...


Next stop...Washington "bachelor? #2"....
